Classic and Timeless Custom Squarespace Design for Wedding Planning Company
Polished Weddings is a new wedding planning company based in Greenville, SC, but the owner, Crystal Williams, is far from new to the wedding industry. In fact, I know Crystal from when I was also working in the wedding industry—we were both wedding planners.
Crystal came to me with the goal of starting a new wedding planning brand that specializes in Wedding Management... a beautiful service that rests in-between Full-Service Planning and Coordination. She wanted to create a brand and website that was elevated and timeless, yet modern and casual enough to feel approachable and friendly.
After her logo designer created her logos, I got to work on digging into her Brand Identity. At the beginning of our project together, Crystal said, “I can't explain the peace I feel with this project knowing that I have you guiding me.”
What. A. Freaking. Compliment.
After a Brand Strategy Workshop together, I spent a few days creating her Brand Messaging Style Guide, a living document that she can use to guide her copy in all of her marketing efforts: emails, blogs, social media captions, products, etc.
Then it was time to work on her website copy. I wanted to make sure it was perfect for her Polished Weddings and her Ideal Client (we already dug into who her Ideal Client is when we worked on her Brand Messaging!). I drafted copy for all of the pages on her website, and once she approved them, I moved on to the final stage: designing a custom Squarespace 7.1 website for her.
She wanted a website that felt clean, simple, and elegant (which—of course—reflects her new brand). So I did just that.
When I sent her two different home page mockups to choose from, she quickly replied, “I literally teared up looking at this! You are amazing!” She chose one of the two options but also requested that a couple of features from the second option be integrated into her top choice.
So I got to work and finished designing her website, worked on the back-end SEO setup and functionality, and a few days later… we were finished and ready to go!
