"I learned my lesson while redoing my website..."

client praise

Kaysha is this ridiculously talented brand photographer in Orange County who helps entrepreneurs get over their camera-shy ways and become the face of their brand. (And like, *actually* enjoy it? What kind of wizardry...)

Meet Kaysha

You know that friend who just has this way of making everyone feel completely at ease? That's Kaysha. She's the founder of Branding by Kaysha, where she spends her days helping fellow entrepreneurs stop hiding behind their brands and start showing up with confidence.

When she's not working her photography magic, you'll find her exploring SoCal foodie spots with her fam or binge-watching Netflix (a woman after my own heart).

And because we're not just here to make things pretty, we:

  • Got all technical with that SEO magic
  • Made sure everything played nice with her other business tools
  • Optimized for mobile
  • Made the site faster than your Amazon Prime delivery

Look, moving from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 is kind of like moving apartments. Sure, you're taking all your stuff with you, but you want it to look better in the new place, ya know?

Here's what we did:

Behind the Scenes

02

After 4 years of DIY-ing her website (we've all been there), Kaysha was like "yeah... this isn't cutting it anymore."

Her words? "When I pivoted to brand photography, I wasn't sure how it would go. Because of that, I didn't want to make a huge investment in a website."

Raise your hand if you've ever felt personally victimized by the DIY website struggle 🙋‍♀️

She needed someone to:
  • Move her site from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 (without breaking everything in the process)
  • Give the whole thing a glow-up while keeping her brand intact
  • Help her actually show up on Google when people search for brand photographers
  • Make everything feel less... cobbled together

The Situation

01

Here's the thing Kaysha learned (and TBH, what most of us learn eventually): When you're running a business, trying to DIY everything is like trying to make skinny jeans look comfortable – it's possible, but at what cost?

As she put it: "If you can't do it yourself - outsource it! If you hate doing it yourself - outsource it! If you don't have the time to do it yourself - outsource it!"

(BRB, getting that printed on a t-shirt)

The Plot Twist

04

Remember when Monica cleaned Rachel's apartment in Friends and Rachel was like "THIS IS WHAT MY APARTMENT LOOKS LIKE?!" That's basically what happened here.

In Kaysha's own words: "I'm really proud of my site and I think it's a great representation of my business."

The Results

03

  • Decluttered like Marie Kondo was watching (bye-bye, unnecessary color blocks!)
  • Kept her brand colors but used them more strategically (less is more)
  • Added some video moments because static is so 2020
  • Made the whole site flow better than your favorite Netflix series
